Amy
2007 - Present
Amy hails from the City of Shelton. She is a performer at heart with her roots lying in musical
theater. Amy made her musical theater debut at the age of 10 in Damn Yankees at the
Strand Theater in Seymour. From that
point on, she hasn’t left the stage. Amy has also performed feature and ensemble roles with
the Orange Players, The Youth CONNection, Center Stage, and was also seen in her high school
productions. Her favorite roles being “Amy” in Little Women, “Narrator” in
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and “Connie Lane” in Good News.
Aside from musical theater, Amy has also sung the National Anthem for many sporting events around
the state of Connecticut, her favorite being the Monster Truck Rally at the old New Haven Coliseum
and the Special Olympics. Amy was also a former title holder with the
Miss Connecticut America Scholarship Pageant Program holding the titles of Miss Naugatuck
Valley 2004 (Top Ten Finalist at Miss CT) and Miss Maritime 2005 (Non-Finalist Talent Winner).
Our nation’s Veterans are very near and dear to Amy’s heart. She has traveled all the way to Las
Vegas to perform for them. Her uncle served with the 108th Airborne Division (The Jumping Mustangs)
of the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and credits him for her volunteer efforts with
our country’s Veterans. She is extremely honored to have been able to sing at The Jumping Mustangs
annual reunions that have been held all around the United States. Amy has also sung for numerous
dedications, memorial ceremonies and events around her city.
In 2004, Amy graduated from the Conservatory of Music at SUNY Purchase with a Bachelors degree in
the Arts. While there, she was an Opera and Vocal Studies Major. At Purchase, Amy performed the
role of “Amahl” in Amahl and the Night Visitors and “Gretel” in Hansel und Gretel (in German).
She is currently a Masters student at Southern Connecticut State University working towards a
teaching certification in Special Education with a concentration in Adaptive Technology.
Amy is very proud to be a member of Glory Girls, and looks forward to performing with them at
events to come.
